Teaching Clock – Mentari | Wooden Educational Toy NZ

Perfect for:

• 3 – 4 years: Build early number recognition and understand the concept of time through hands-on play
• 4 – 5 years: Learn to tell the hour, half and quarter-hour, boosting cognitive skills and sequencing
• 5 – 6 years: Practise full 24-hour time reading and introduce concepts like minutes-past and minutes-to

Turn “What time is it?” into a proud little moment of discovery with the Mentari Teaching Clock. This beautifully crafted wooden clock is more than just a learning tool – it’s an open invitation to explore numbers, patterns, and daily routines. With a 24-hour inner dial and independently moving hour and minute hands, children can practise everything from “It’s 7 o’clock” to “It’s bedtime in 20 minutes!”.

Whether your little learner is just beginning to match numbers or confidently tackling full-hour reading, this clock grows with them. It’s a Montessori-aligned way to introduce sequencing, maths readiness, and life skills – all without a single beep or flashing light. (Though you might still hear “Just five more minutes!” at bedtime.)

Place it on a shelf for independent exploration or bring it to the table for guided practice – either way, it’s a timeless (pun intended) learning companion.

Mentari toys are crafted from sustainably sourced rubber wood, a clever by-product of the latex industry, repurposing materials that might otherwise be wasted. For every tree used, Mentari plants a new one—making each plaything a small, joyful step toward reforestation. All toys are designed, painted, assembled and quality-checked in their dedicated factory in Indonesia, under one roof for over 30 years. They meet rigorous international safety standards including EN 71, ASTM, SOR and AS/NZS ISO, so you can trust these toys to be both enduring and safe.
