Can the tea set be used with real water?

This tea set is designed for pretend play rather than drinking from. It is made from sustainable mahogany and finished with non-toxic, child-safe paint and oil, but QToys recommends wiping clean with a damp cloth only and not immersing the pieces in water.

For best care, avoid filling the cups with water, soaking the pieces, or leaving moisture sitting on the timber. If a little water is used during supervised play, dry the pieces thoroughly straight after to help keep the wood in lovely condition for many tea parties to come.
