Horizontal Hanger Fine Motor Stacker – QToys | Wooden Toy NZ

Perfect for:

• 18–24 months - first threading fun that builds grasp, wrist rotation and focus. Also stops them posting your car keys into the shoe rack.
• 2–3 years - confidence grows as they move from thinner to thicker rings, strengthening hand control and problem solving.

Meet the Horizontal Hanger, a beautifully simple Montessori toy that invites little hands to thread, twist and think. Because the dowel sits sideways, children adjust their usual stacking grip and practise new movements that boost fine motor skills, hand eye coordination and spatial awareness.

Start with the thinner rings for easy wins, then level up to the thicker ones as control improves. That quiet concentration you hear is the sound of early learning doing its thing... right before someone asks for a snack.
